Biographical and Professional Information

A graduate of Sheridan High School, Northwest College and the University of Wyoming, Cynde Georgen is the author of two books related to Sheridan County history: One Cowboy’s Dream: John B. Kendrick, His Family, Home and Ranching Empire and Centennial Minutes: 366 Newsy Little Stories About the First 100 Years of Sheridan County, Wyoming. She co-authored South Pass City: Wyoming’s City of Gold with Tom Lindmier, and Around the Edges of Sheridan County History with Mary Ellen McWilliams. Following several years in the broadcasting, journalism and publishing fields, she currently serves as historic program manager for the Trail End State Historic Site in Sheridan. She has served on the boards of several museum, history and tourism-related organizations, most recently the Colorado-Wyoming Association of Museums and the Sheridan Travel & Tourism Commission.
