Don Pitcher

A former resident of Wilson, Wyoming, Don Pitcher has written and photographed a dozen travel books. After authoring his first title, Berkeley Inside/Out, he went on to write seven in-depth guides for Avalon Travel: Wyoming, Yellowstone & Grand Teton, Jackson Hole, Alaska, Washington, Anchorage, and the San Juan Islands. His photographic books include three for Fodor's: Wyoming, Alaska, and Alaska's Inside Passage. He also served as editor for the most recent Best Places Alaska, and is a contributor to Triporati.com and other websites, along with such books as DK Eyewitness Travel Alaska and DK Eyewitness Travel USA. Don's photographic images have appeared in a multitude of other publications and advertisements. His prints are sold in many Alaska and Washington galleries, and he also works as a wedding photographer and lecturer on cruise ships. Don Pitcher is now based in Homer, Alaska.
