Biography

Irwin was born in Laramie, Wyoming; her father came to Wyoming in 1938 from Nebraska. He worked on various ranches in the Laramie valley until the family moved to Cheyenne, where Esther Irwin lived for more than 40 years. She worked as a legal assistant for almost 30 years. She became ill in 2000 and had to give up her career. It was always a dream of hers to write, so she began writing children's books about. Irwin was survived by her husband, John Irwin, two children, two step-children and seven randchildren.
