Biographical and Professional Information
Grace Raymond Hebard born July 2, 1861, in Clinton, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa and went on to earn her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1893. In 1898, she was admitted to the Wyoming bar. She is known for championing the woman suffrage clause before Wyoming State Constitutional Convention. She held the position of university librarian at the University of Wyoming from 1908 to 1919, and published many books on the history of Wyoming and women. Hebard died October 11, 1936, in Laramie, Wyoming.
