Biographical and Professional Information

 

Mary Julia Moore Allyn and her husband were early homesteaders in the Riverton area. She wrote the book Twentieth century pioneering : our frontier days experiences at Riverton, Wyoming about their experiences there. Her husband, Francis "Frank" Hayford Allyn was the first graduate of the University of Wyoming's College of Engineering. According to the census records of 1910 and 1920, she was born in Illinois. The 1920 census lists four children, Laura, Eadie, Franklin and Edith.
