Roberta Cheney was the recipient of the 1976 Emmie Mygatt Award from Wyoming Writers, which she co-founded with Emmie Mygatt. She wrote of topics in Big Horn County, Wyoming, and resided in Cameron, Montana, where she and her husband retired after living many years in Sheridan, Wyoming.
