Sally Rouse Vanderpoel was born in Omaha, Nebraska on January 9, 1921. She graduated from Torrington High School and the Universityof Wyoming and taught many years in Torrington, Wheatland and Huntley. She was a member of many organizations, serving as president of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, the Wyoming Federation of Republican Women and the Wyoming State Historical Society. She died on February 1, 2010.
